Friends are a Good Reward!
Today is one of my dearest friends birthday. She turned 70 today. Happy Birthday Janet! It was fun talking with her today, catching up and planning a get together which will hopefully happen soon. I had the priviledge of working with her for several years and spending many a day learning from her. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever known, one of great integrity and character. I am thankful for her friendship and the bond that has grown strong over the years. We were a good team, always ready to lend a hand to one another to be as effective and efficient as possible with the tasks we had to complete each day. She is always ready to listen, share, encourage and talk. A good friend is such a treasure. The book of Proverbs says, in order to have a friends, we must be friendly ourselves. It also talks about how two are better than one as in the verse below. I can remember many times that our encouragement and help for one another was the one thing that made us keep working, going, and trying to do our best. I'm so thankful for my sweet friend and pray you have a dear friend too that not only blesses you, but to who you are also a blessing!
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
